Get to know the photographer

my story

My love for photography began as a kid, flipping through my grandmother's photo album filled with moments from before I was even born. Those frozen slices of life captivated me. Each photo told a story that I will remember and treasure for the rest of my life. As I got older my passion for photography developed even further, especially when I married my husband and started having kids of my own. I wanted to record every smirk or even pouty face so I can remember it forever. My journey started with lifestyle photography, recording casual moments and grew over time with more posed setting. I started working with families and over a few years I was confident enough in my style and skill to take on weddings and event photography. I participated in many courses and workshops, many hours was spent playing around and figuring out my style so I can create that timeless look I wanted to bring to my photos.  I always liked studio photography and after many years of exploring great outdoors (which I still love!) I joined a photography studio with some very talented photographers who eventually became by besties for life. During many collaborations and hours of shooting together, I felt confident to branch out on my own and open up my own home studio. It is small and cozy and I absolutely love it!

personal

When I am not behind the camera, you'll find me in my craft room sewing, knitting, creating with a great book playing in the background. I love reading, but have absolutely zero time for it. My children (all 5 of them) keep me pretty busy, there is always a dance practice or a science project or a play date. It is a crazy, busy life but I love every minute of it!

"She is so nice. It is our second photoshoot from her. The way she handles baby infant and 1 year old baby is really awesome. She is one of the best photographer in Utah.

Glad we got good referral from my friends."

"Sign up for a shoot with Marina!! Her details and finishes are refined, elegant and soft. Not only is she absolutely amazing and fluent with babies and children, but the props, headbands, OUTFITS, backdrops.. all of it, is insane. If you can think it, Marina’s studio has it. Extreme attention to detail in the shoot combined with the subject matter expertise in photo refinement will leave you with treasures of memories to cherish for eternity."

"Highly Recommend! Family portrait. Marina was easy to coordinate with beforehand, and the day of the shoot was so straightforward and easy. Marina was so accommodating. We wanted to do an outdoor shoot, but snow was in the forecast. She was totally supportive of still trying outdoors, even it was snowing a little bit (the snowing stopped right before the shoot began, whew!). And did I mention...the portraits are amazing! So beautiful! Will be using Marina again!"
